Dr. Laura Bloomberg was appointed the eighth president of ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ State University (ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ) in the spring of 2022. She had previously served at ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ as provost and senior vice president for academic affairs, starting in the fall of 2021. Since being appointed university president, she has guided strategic initiatives that support ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ’s ability to create an academic community in which everyone can thrive and enrich the surrounding region.Ìý
These initiatives include:Ìý
- a new division of Student Belonging and Success, prioritizing personal connections as part of the student experience and a critical element of academic growth and achievement;
- ²¹Ìý, which would renovate ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ’s downtown campus and further integrate it into the city of ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ; and
